This 49" Nurse Shark full mount, which we call a two-sided wall mount, is extremely realistic with the skin texture that was captured during the molding process. Nurse Sharks are found in clusters geographically in certain part of the Eastern and Western Atlantic Oceans as well as the Pacific Ocean. They are not found to inhabitant all parts of the oceans, but rather certain regions in each of these oceans. The Nurse Shark mount is a full-body wall mount that has been positioned to look like it is swimming along the ocean floor. The Nurse Shark was molded off an actual Nurse Shark and makes a perfect centerpiece for any home, marina, a special man cave, or restaurant setting. After removing this shark mount from the packaging, hold up the shark mount up on the wall where you would like it to live and then mark the spot where the hanger is on the wall. Then, drill in a screw or hammer in a nail and the bracket will easily hang on the nail or screw head. The easy level bracket also allows you to display your new Nurse Shark replica on the wall at pretty much any angle. The bracket has 5 sawtooth grooves that the nail or screw head in the wall can hang on, creating a different balance point which allows you to point the head up toward the ceiling or down toward the floor, depending on which groove the head is in. We also offer an outdoor bracket for installation in areas that might have high wind or potential to get bumped.

Nurse Sharks are nocturnal predators and live a sedentary life during the day. They are known as bottom dwellers and while young, they keep close to the shore in the shallows, reefs, and mangrove islands. As they get older, they move to deeper depths of coral reefs and more mountainous terrain at the bottom of the ocean where they can hide in crevices and feed. They have a unique suction capability that other sharks do not have. Their mouths may be smaller, but their suction power is one of the highest documented in any underwater animal. Nurse Sharks tend to feed on smaller prey, but if they go for larger, they use their sucking power as well as thrashing of their head to reduce the size of their prey before fully consuming. Nurse Sharks feed mostly at night, and during the day, they congregate together moving slowly on the ocean’s bottom. Nurse Sharks are known to be the most sedentary of the shark species. Nurse Sharks can be found throughout the Eastern and Western Atlantic Oceans and Pacific Oceans. Nurse Sharks have one mate throughout their life and they often go back to the same location to mate as well as give birth. Female Nurse Sharks give birth to live pups, but only after they have grown in eggs and hatched inside of her. She will hold the eggs for about 6 months and birth between 20-30 pups at a time. Juveniles Nurse Sharks are spotted in color and as they age, they are primarily a brownish color. They grow between 10 to 15 feet and can weigh in at over 700 pounds. Nurse Sharks can be distinguished by their large heads and small mouths on the underside of their head.
