Redfish are a popular gamefish targeted by weekend warriors and intuitive fly fisherman. Redfish are notorious for their spot or spots, normally residing on the base of their tails but often multi spot redfish will have their sides covered in spots.
All of our two sided Redfish full mounts are made of fiberglass for a lifetime of enjoyment and are hand crafted to represent the fish you caught or to showcase the fishes alive and lit up look as if it was swimming in the ocean. If you are purchasing a Redfish full mount to commemorate a catch, we encourage you to send a picture of your catch. We custom paint our Redfish full mounts and we even custom paint our eyes to give a realistic look to your new trophy. Our production team even takes the time to notch out rips and tears that your Redfish might have. For customers who do not have a photograph or are just purchasing for decoration, our normal process is to paint a standard redfish. Some are very light in coloring but the most common color is a copper bronze shade on their backside mixed in with golds and white bellies. Like other fish, redfish can have many different variations of coloring however our standard paint job includes the above mentioned features. The final step is to clear coat the Redfish with a UV Protectant Urethane clear coat.
Our Redfish half mounts are anatomically correct half fish replicas that are intended to be displayed on the wall. A half sided mount is produced by casting the front part of our two sided wall mount molds. When displayed the circumference of the half mount is either touching the wall or very close to the wall. This process cuts labor and supplies cost and therefore results in a lower price point however the skin texture and finishing process is the same as a traditional full mount.
