59" Blue Marlin Half Mount

This blue marlin fish mount is part of our half sided series and replicates a juvenile blue marlin and was measured at 59 inches before shaping into the classic pose. It takes up roughly 56 inches from left to right on the wall and about 20 inches of vertical height. A half sided mount is produced by casting the front part of our two sided wall mount molds. When displayed the circumference of the half mount is either touching the wall or very close to the wall. This process cuts labor and supplies cost and therefore results in a lower price point however the skin texture and finishing process is the same as a traditional full mount.

Blue Marlin Mount Paint Schedule

Blue marlin are without a doubt one of the most prestigious gamefish targeted across the world. Sportfishing crews from sea to sea chase after this majestic fish hoping to raise her into the spread and drum up a bite. Blue marlins can grow up to 1200 lbs and are referred to as Granders once they reach the 1000 lb range. Colors on blue marlin are normally a variation of dark and electric blues and teals on their shoulders and backs that are separated by a hard dark like running horizontally down their body which is normally a brownish, silvery color. Quite often silver to blue vertical lines also run down their side. Like other fish, blue marlin can have many different variations of coloring however our standard paint job is as mentioned above. The final step of the finishing process is to spray a UV protecting clear coat to give it superior protection indoors or outside. We do not custom paint our half sided series replicas.

A beautiful Blue Marlin half-mount

We are very pleased with our 59" Blue Marlin half-mount from Mount This! Fish Co. The detail and painting are amazing and it was packaged very well for safe shipping. We were hoping to get a left-facing one in a 65" to 75" width, but apparently there is not a LF Blue Marlin available between 59" and 94" wide.

I am very happy with my purchase. The colors and the workmanship are great. In an attempt to save money I purchased the half mount which is very nice but, I'm sure the full mount is awesome. The only thing is I wish I would have purchased the next size larger and that shipping would have been a little cheaper considering I'm only 2-hours away from the store.
