This snook fish mount is part of our half sided replica series. A half sided fish mount is produced by casting the front part of our two sided wall mount molds. When displayed the circumference of the half mount is either touching the wall or very close to the wall. This process cuts labor and supplies cost and therefore results in a lower price point however the skin texture and finishing process is the same as a traditional full mount.

Snook are a highly targeted inshore and nearshore gamefish throughout Central and South Florida. A snook's most notorious feature is the black line that runs the span of their lateral line from the gill plate through the tail. A inter coastal waterway snook will normally blend from a goldish, brownish back to a silver side and whitish belly. Commonly all the fins and the top of the tail will have a yellowish tint if not bright yellow and the bottom of the tail is normally darker than the top. Our standard paint job includes the above mentioned features. The final step of the finishing process is to spray a UV protecting clear coat to give it superior protection indoors or outside. We do not custom paint our half sided series replicas.

I couldn’t be happier with my new mount. I received it within about 10 day or so from when I ordered it. It’s very nicely painted and light weight but seems pretty durable. I’ve only had it a few days but really satisfied so far.
