23" Seatrout Half Mount
This 23" Speckled Seatrout half mount is part of our half sided series and has been positioned into a stalking pose and with a very, very slight head turn. A half sided fish replica is produced by casting the front part of our two sided wall mount molds. When displayed the circumference of the half mount is either touching the wall or very close to the wall. This process cuts labor and supplies cost and therefore results in a lower price point however the skin texture and finishing process is the same as a traditional full mount.
Seatrout Mount Paint Schedule
We start with a goldish tint and worked in a little olive green and brown on the back. Yellow was used to showcase the traditional yellow these saltwater river fish normally have on the edges of their mouths and in their mouths. After airbrushing all the silver halos we added the spots to accurately represent speckled seatrout spots. The final process was to push some iridescent pearls and blues across the back to give this seatrout replica the same look as when you are pulling them out of the water. Like other fish, Seatrout can have many different variations of coloring however our standard paint job includes the above mentioned features. The final step of the finishing process is to spray a UV protecting clear coat to give it superior protection indoors or outside. We do not custom paint our half sided series replicas.
Half Sided Fish Mount Installation
Each fish mount in our half sided series arrives with a fiberglass hanger on the backside of the fish mount. This allows easy installation once you receive your new fish mount.

Absolutely love this concept. I could not believe how lightweight this thing is, will be a breeze to hang and take down for cleaning. Being a taxidermist myself, i am pretty critical of any mount. Paint scheme was as good as I have seen. And I have seen a lot of unrealistic trout mounts. Absolutely not the case here! Great job guys, will be ordering my cow dorado soon!
