Pacific Sailfish Two Sided Wall Mount
CURRENTLY UNAVAILABLE
106" Pacific Sailfish Full Mount
This 106" Pacific Sailfish full mount, which we call a two-sided wall mount, is extremely realistic with a textured bill and skin texture that was captured during the molding process. Everything that is viewable when up on all the wall is finished. Pacific Sailfish are one of the Pacific Ocean fastest gamefish and are sought after for the sport of catch and releasing. Many tournaments are organized with payouts going to the teams that can catch and release the most sailfish. Our Pacific Sailfish full mounts are anatomically correct fish mounts that are intended to be displayed on the wall. The backside of the fish mount that is touching the wall or not viewable is painted black. These two-sided wall mounts are not intended to be hung from the ceiling.
Pacific Sailfish Mount Painting Schedule
All of our two sided Pacific Sailfish full mounts are made of fiberglass for a lifetime of enjoyment and are hand crafted to represent the fish you caught or to showcase the fishes alive and lit up look as if it was swimming in the ocean. If you are purchasing a Pacific Sailfish replica to commemorate a catch, we encourage you to send a picture of your catch. We custom paint our Pacific Sailfish full mounts and we even custom paint our eyes to give a realistic look to your new trophy. Our production team even takes the time to notch out rips and tears that your Pacific Sailfish photo might have. With all our full mounts, we encourage our customers to send in a picture of their catch so we can paint and replicate to match that fish. Without a picture, our normal process is to paint a standard brownish flank with distinctive Colbert/navy blue vertical markings rolling over the hard edge line that divides the flank and the shoulder or back area; that area is painted a darker blue with teals and metallic blues that really pop with direct lighting. The dorsal is painted a dark purplish blue color with a series of black spots and the outer edge of the dorsal sail with a faded black edging. The final step is to clear coat the Pacific Sailfish replica with a UV Protectant Urethane clear coat allowing you to hang it indoors or outside. We do offer an outdoor bracket for installation in areas that might have high wind or potential to get bumped.
Pacific Sailfish Replica Shipping Process
Once you place your order, our packaging team will carefully package this fish mount to ensure a safe journey from us to you. We are proud to boast a less than 1% damage rate but should, for any reason, this fish mount arrive to you less than 100% perfect, please let us know right away and we will remedy the situation accordingly. All of our Pacific Sailfish replicas have to be crated and then shipped on a freight truck. Over the years, we have developed the perfect crating system that provides enough protection to provide a safe transit from our place to yours without having to create a solid plywood framed crated which would be extremely heavy and extremely expensive to ship. Instead, our crating system utilizes 1x4 furring strips with angle braces and 2-ply cardboard which delivers a lightweight crate with superior protection. Please contact our experienced team ahead of placing your order if you would like to obtain a rate quote to see the cost of shipping prior to your purchase.
Pacific Sailfish Mount Installation Process
Our easy-to-hang bracket arrives already attached to the backside, balance point of this fish mount. After removing this fish mount from the packaging, hold up the fish mount up on the wall where you would like it to live and then mark the spot where the hanger is on the wall. Then, drill in a screw or hammer in a nail and the bracket will easily hang on the nail or screw head. The easy level bracket also allows you to display your new Pacific Sailfish replica on the wall at pretty much any angle. The bracket has 5 sawtooth groves that the nail or screw head in the wall can hang on, creating a different balance point which allows you to point the head up toward the ceiling or down toward the floor, depending on which groove the head is in. We also offer an outdoor bracket for installation in areas that might have high wind or potential to get bumped.

More About Pacific Sailfish:
The Pacific Sailfish is commonly found in the Pacific and Indian Oceans. Its purplish blue color, large dorsal fin shaped like a sail, pointed snout also referenced as the bill, and forked tail fin makes it a very distinguishable fish in the open waters. It is often found hunting fish that travels in schools, most common prey is sardines, anchovies, and mackerel. Hunting in packs, they can bring schools of fish up from the depths to the surface for better feeding. It favors warm, tropical waters and can be found on the surface as well as at depths of over 600 feet. It can grow up to 10 feet in length and weigh between up to 200 pounds. They are cousins to the Atlantic Sailfish, and both come from the billfish family, Isitophoridae. Their lifespan is anywhere from 5 to 7 years. They are most notable for their quick speeds, which helps in their hunting of schools of fish. One of the most popular trophy fish for their size, color, strength, and speed. There are many fishing teams that devote their entire careers to sport fishing for sailfish. Sailfish are attracted to both live and trolling bait. The most common areas to catch Pacific Sailfish are on the Pacific Side of Central America in Panama, Costa Rica and Southern Mexico.
