Northern Pike roam cold water lakes and ponds in the northern part of the United States, Canada and many parts of Europe. These ferocious predators are know to ambush their prey by lying perfectly still around vegetation until a smaller bait fish swims by. The teeth on a northern pike are very impressive and we take this into consideration when producing a replica of your catch.
All of our two-sided Northern Pike are made of fiberglass for a lifetime of enjoyment and are hand crafted to represent the fish you caught. Everything you see while the Northern Pike full mount is hanging on the wall is painted. The backside of the mount that is touching the wall or not viewable is actually painted black.
Our Northern Pike half mounts are produced by casting the front part of our two sided wall mount molds. When displayed the circumference of the half mount is either touching the wall or very close to the wall. This process cuts labor and supplies cost and therefore results in a lower price point however the skin texture and finishing process is the same as a traditional full mount.
Our Northern Pike 3D fish mounts are intended to be suspended from the ceiling and are completely finished on all sides for 360 degree viewing. 3D fish mount replicas are suspended by attaching either a heavy monofilament, string or light gauge wire to small holes in the top dorsal fin and top portion of the tail and when necessary we will include an eye hole screw in the head portion of the replica. This allows for easy and quick installation of the Northern Pike replica. Pedestal mounting is an available option, this add on is necessary when using our products for addition to signs, displays or other interior or outdoor use. Pricing for the pedestal option is based on a per project basis.
