Thresher Shark Two Sided Wall Mount
CURRENTLY UNAVAILABLE
80" Thresher Shark Full Mount
This 80" Thresher Shark full mount, which we call a two-sided wall mount, is extremely realistic with the skin texture that was captured during the molding process. Thresher Sharks are found all over the world in temperate tropical waters. The continental shelves of the North Atlantic and Pacific are often common habitants for Thresher Sharks. The Thresher Shark mount is a full-body wall mount that has been positioned like it was swimming with its mouth open. The Thresher Shark was molded off an actual Thresher Shark and makes a perfect centerpiece for any home, marina, a special man cave, or restaurant setting. Thresher Shark Mount Painting Schedule
All our two-sided Thresher Shark mounts are made of fiberglass for a lifetime of enjoyment and are hand-crafted to represent the shark you caught or showcase the shark as it was alive, swimming in the ocean. Thresher Sharks can alter in coloring. Dorsally, they can have blue, grey, brown, or purplish tints while their underbelly is often lighter shades. Depending on whether you are commemorating a catch or just looking for decoration, we can either custom paint your new Thresher Shark mount from your picture or you can give our artists creative ability to paint them to their liking. You can email your picture to General Email Address. We custom paint our Thresher Shark mounts as well as custom paint the eyes, to give a realistic look to your new trophy. Our production team takes the time to notch out rips and tears that your Thresher Shark might have. The final step is to clear coat the Thresher Shark replica with a UV Protectant Urethane clear coat allowing you to hang it indoors or outside. We do offer an outdoor bracket for installation in areas that might have high wind or potential to get bumped.
Thresher Shark Replica Shipping Process
Once you place your order, our packaging team will carefully package the mount to ensure a safe journey from us to you. We are proud to boast a less than 1% damage rate but should for any reason this shark mount arrives to you less than 100% perfect, please let us know right away and we will remedy the situation accordingly. Some of the Thresher Shark mounts will ship regular ground shipping, but the larger Thresher Shark replicas must be crated and then shipped on a freight truck. Over the years, we have developed the perfect crating system that provides enough protection to provide a safe transit from our place to yours without having to create a solid plywood framed crate which would be extremely heavy and extremely expensive to ship. Instead, our crating system utilizes 1x4 furring strips with angle braces and 2-ply cardboard which delivers a lightweight crate with superior protection. Please contact our experienced team ahead of placing your order if you would like to obtain a rate quote to see the cost of shipping prior to your purchase.
Thresher Shark Mount Installation Process
Our easy to hang bracket arrives already attached to the backside, balance point of this shark mount. After removing this shark mount from the packaging, hold up the shark mount up on the wall where you would like it to live and then mark the spot where the hanger is on the wall. Then, drill in a screw or hammer in a nail and the bracket will easily hang on the nail or screw head. The easy level bracket also allows you to display your new Thresher replica on the wall at pretty much any angle. The bracket has 5 sawtooth grooves that the nail or screw head in the wall can hang on, creating a different balance point which allows you to point the head up toward the ceiling or down toward the floor, depending on which groove the head is in. We also offer an outdoor bracket for installation in areas that might have high wind or potential to get bumped.

More About Thresher Shark:
Thresher Sharks are also commonly known as Fox Sharks. They are named after their unique long caudal fin which can sometimes be as long as the shark itself and moves in a thresher-type fashion. Thresher Sharks have noses that are cone shaped and a short head with a small mouth, that contains various sizes of teeth from small to large. Thresher Sharks can weigh up to over 1000 pounds and grow between 16-20 feet. Thresher Sharks have lighter underbellies compared to their ventral side which can have different shades of blue, brown, purple, and gray. Thresher Sharks are found along the continental shelves but have been seen closer to shore in shallows. Thresher Sharks like the open waters to depths of around 1500 feet but have been recently documented at even further depths in the Gulf of Mexico. One hunting style Thresher Sharks use is their tail. They will swim through schools of fish, thrashing their tails which will stun their prey, using their tails as weapons. Food of choice of Thresher Sharks are small tuna, bluefish as well as squids and crustaceans. They tend to hunt alone or in pairs. Thresher Sharks have been seen jumping out of water, like dolphins, by using the force of their tail to propel them. Thresher Sharks are not known to be a threat to humans. However, they are targeted in the fishing industry for their meat, liver, and fins. Catching a Thresher Shark is also considered a prize catch in offshore fishing. Because of their popularity on the markets, they are overfished in some areas and Thresher Sharks are considered vulnerable to extinction.
