This 54" Tarpon Fish Mount is part of our full mount series and is an anatomically correct tarpon fish replica. Tarpons are targeted throughout Florida and in some areas of Central America. The "Silver King" is known for its extreme acrobatic abilities with intense head shakes. Tarpon are also very difficult to hook due to their very tough jaws and mouth. Tarpons can be found inshore and nearshore. Back country brackish water is a common spot to find juvenile tarpons and a super fun fly fishing adventure. Larger Tarpon migrate up and down the east coast of Florida during the summer months chasing Mullet, Menhaden and Pilchards.
Tarpon Mount Paint Schedule
If you are purchasing a Tarpon full mount to commemorate a catch, we encourage you to send a picture of your catch. We custom paint our Tarpon full mounts and we even custom paint our eyes to give a realistic look to your new trophy. Our production team even takes the time to notch out rips and tears that your Tarpon fins might have. For customers who do not have a photograph or are just purchasing for decoration, our normal process is to paint a brownish and gold back with hues of green which blend to a silvery side and white belly. We use iridescent white pearl on top of the silver to showcase the hues of iridescence that gleam off the fish when holding boat side. Shipping The Tarpon Mount
Our packaging department is extremely experienced in packaging replicas to ensure a damage free shipping. On smaller tarpons our packaging process includes the use of heavy duty, double corrugated cardboard, bubble wrap, styrofoam peanuts and box supports, assuring you of its safe arrival. Larger Tarpon replicas will need to be crated and shipped on a freight truck. Feel free to contact us prior to ordering to obtain a shipping rate quote. In the rare instance that something does go wrong during transit from us to you, we will cover all charges on returning the Tarpon mount and either produce a new replica for you or fix the damage if its possible to do to where no damage is noticeable.
Installing Your Tarpon Mount
Each Tarpon fish mount will arrive to you with an easy to hang bracket on the backside of the replica. Hold the mount up on the wall, mark the spot where the bracket touches the wall, drill in a screw or hammer in a nail and then hang your new fish mount. The "easy level" bracket will allow you to position the mount parallel to the ground or pivoted so that the fish mount is either swimming up your wall or down your wall. The choice is yours!
