Bonnethead Shark Two Sided Wall Mount
30" Bonnethead Shark Full Mount
This 30" Bonnethead Shark full mount, which we call a two-sided wall mount, is extremely realistic with the skin texture that was captured during the molding process. Bonnethead Sharks, also known as Shovelhead, roam the tropical waters. Our Bonnethead Sharks full mounts are anatomically correct shark replicas that are intended to be displayed on the wall. Everything you see while the shark mount is hanging on the wall is painted. The backside of the mount that is touching the wall or not viewable is painted black. These two-sided wall mounts are not intended to be hung from the ceiling. Bonnethead Shark Mount Painting Schedule
All of our two-sided Bonnethead Shark mounts are made of fiberglass for a lifetime of enjoyment and are hand crafted to represent the shark you caught and to showcase the shark as alive to look as if it was swimming in the ocean. Bonnethead Sharks can alter in coloring. They are usually brown-grey with a whitish underside. Depending on whether you are commemorating a catch or just looking for decoration, we can either custom paint your new Bonnethead Shark mount from your picture or you can give our artists creative ability to paint them to their liking. You can email your picture to General Email Address. We custom paint our Bonnethead Shark mounts as well as custom paint the eyes, to give a realistic look to your new trophy. Our production team takes the time to notch out rips and tears that your Bonnethead Shark might have. The final step is to clear coat the shark with a UV Protectant Urethane clear coat allowing you to hang it indoors or outside. We do offer an outdoor bracket for installation in areas that might have high wind or potential to get bumped.
Bonnethead Shark Replica Shipping Process
Once you place your order, our packaging team will carefully package the mount to ensure a safe journey from us to you. We are proud to boast a less than 1% damage rate but should for any reason this shark mount arrives to you less than 100% perfect, please let us know right away and we will remedy the situation accordingly. The Bonnethead Shark mounts will ship regular ground shipping. Over the years, we have developed the perfect crating system that provides enough protection to provide a safe transit from our place to yours without having to create a solid plywood framed crate which would be extremely heavy and extremely expensive to ship. Instead, our crating system utilizes 1x4 furring strips with angle braces and 2-ply cardboard which delivers a lightweight crate with superior protection. Please contact our experienced team ahead of placing your order if you would like to obtain a rate quote to see the cost of shipping prior to your purchase.
Bonnethead Shark Mount Installation Process
Our easy to hang bracket arrives already attached to the backside, balance point of this shark mount. After removing this shark mount from the packaging, hold up the shark mount up on the wall where you would like it to live and then mark the spot where the hanger is on the wall. Then, drill in a screw or hammer in a nail and the bracket will easily hang on the nail or screw head. The easy level bracket also allows you to display your new Bonnethead replica on the wall at pretty much any angle. The bracket has 5 sawtooth grooves that the nail or screw head in the wall can hang on, creating a different balance point which allows you to point the head up toward the ceiling or down toward the floor, depending on which groove the head is in. We also offer an outdoor bracket for installation in areas that might have high wind or potential to get bumped.

More About Bonnethead Shark:
The Bonnethead Shark is the first known omnivorous shark species. It will feed on both animal and plant life, sea grass specifically. Because of its preferred food sources, they are often found near the shorelines. Bonnetheads are found mostly near the mid to southern Atlantic Coast. They have been known to go as far north as New England and as far south as Brazil. Although they keep to the shorelines, they are not known to be aggressive to humans. Bonnetheads are distinctive for their shovelheads, like their hammerhead relative. Their eyes are located on the either side of their heads and they move their heads back and forth to swim. Compared to hammerheads, their pectoral fins are larger and more defined, and are known to be the only species that actively use their pectoral fins to aide in swimming. Female Bonnetheads are most likely to be larger than males. Females and males are very distinctive in their characteristics with females having more of a flat head and males having a distinct bulge on theirs. Females have one of the shortest gestation periods of all sharks, only about 5 months and can give birth to up to 12 pups. Bonnetheads grow to be an average of 2-3 feet. They have a lighter underside coloring, while on top they are generally brown to grey. Bonnetheads can be found traveling in small groups, all the way up to larger groups in excess of 100s. They are in constant motion to maintain respiration. They are active sharks, but timid. Due to their eating habits and shoreline lifestyles, one would be highly likely to see them in the Atlantic Coast tropical waters.
