28" Black Drum Full Mount
This right facing 28" Black Drum full mount, which we call a two sided wall mount, is extremely realistic as the blank that is used to produce this replica was cast off an actual 28" Black Drum and has captured all the beautiful and intricate skin detail. Everything that is viewable when up on all the wall is finished. These fish are closely related to Redfish, also called Red Drum, they are found in brackish waters and estuaries near oyster beds.
Black Drum Painting Schedule
With all our full mounts we encourage our customers to send in a picture of their catch so we can paint and replicate to match that fish. Without a picture our normal process is to paint your new Black Drum bright and lit up looking as if you just pulled it out of the water. Juvenile Black Drum look very similar to Sheepshead. They have a silvery body with four to five thick black vertical bands running from the dorsal fin down to the belly and as they grow larger those bands start to fade. The final step is to clear coat the fish mount with a UV Protectant Urethane clear coat allowing you to use it indoors or outside.

After removing this fish mount from the packaging, hold up the fish mount up on the wall where you would like it to live and then mark the spot where the hanger is on the wall. Then drill in a screw or hammer in a nail and the bracket will easily hang on the nail or screw head.
