Snook are often found in the current and ready to pounce on bait caught in the current. This piece is extremely realistic with the skin texture that was captured during the molding process and an extremely precise and accurate black lateral line.
All of our two sided Snook full mounts are made of fiberglass for a lifetime of enjoyment and are hand crafted to represent the fish you caught or to showcase the fishes alive and lit up look as if it was swimming in the ocean. If you are purchasing an Snook full mount to commemorate a catch, we encourage you to send a picture of your catch. We custom paint our Snook full mounts and we even custom paint our eyes to give a realistic look to your new trophy. Our production team even takes the time to notch out rips and tears that your Snook might have. For customers who do not have a photograph or are just purchasing for decoration, our normal process is to paint the snook to look "lit up" and alive as if it was swimming on your wall. Our painting process begins with a base coat of silver with golds, browns and blacks sprayed across the back. We then highlight the fins and tail with shades of yellow, airbrush the lateral line and spray some iridescent white pearl to really make it pop.
Our Snook half mounts are anatomically correct half fish replicas that are intended to be displayed on the wall. A half sided mount is produced by casting the front part of our two sided wall mount molds. When displayed the circumference of the half mount is either touching the wall or very close to the wall. This process cuts labor and supplies cost and therefore results in a lower price point however the skin texture and finishing process is the same as a traditional full mount.
